A day of free events where you can listen, learn and be inspired. Unleash your inner creativity and be led on a journey by talented professionals in a variety of workshops.

Part of Music NT’s iNTune Alice Springs program

12:30pm Safara
Take in the sounds from the lands of Senegal and The Gambia through these distinct tribal rhythms.

2pm Red Sand Culture
Red Sand Culture is a hip-hop, music and dance program for Warlpiri youth; a collaboration between Mt Theo Program and InCite Youth Arts. Come and check out this unique brand of hip hop performed by talented young musicians.
Presented by: Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation and Incite Youth Arts

 

 

3pm Desert Divas
Emerging Indigenous female musicians, singers and rappers from Central Australia who represent the brave, beautiful, deadly and diverse voices of Aboriginal women today. Presented as part of Music NT’s iNTune Alice Springs.

 

 

 

Workshops – no bookings required, however limited participant numbers apply to some workshops.

12pm Songwriting w/ Sophie Koh (bring up to 10 copies of your lyrics to share with the group and if you have one, a demo track on ipod or CD)

1pm Clowning w/ Hayley Hoopdogg

2pm Kids Drumming w/ King Marong

3pm Samba Reggae w/ Rana Mitra
