You and your senses are invited to embark on a delectable journey from plant to plate at this year’s ‘Bushfoods Gala Dinner’ held at the picturesque Alice Springs Desert Park.

As the sun sets over the gorgeous vista of the MacDonnell Ranges, you’ll be escorted down a path to your seat and introduced to the stars of the evening, the plants themselves. Let your ears be serenaded while your tastebuds swoon from the creations of top chef Bryant Wells from the award winning Tukka Restaurant in Brisbane. This night is one not to be missed! Appetiser
Confit of Tasmanian possum served with a Davidson plum compote on toasted brioche.

Bread
Coopers stout damper served with a lemon myrtle olive oil and bush spiced Dukkah.

Entree
Daintree vanilla bean cured crocodile fillet cooked Sous vide and served with cider braised pears and a tangelo and wattle seed emulsion.

Main
Bush tomato crusted emu fillet served with a liquorice jus and roasted baby beets.

Dessert
A mixed dessert plate of wattle seed brulee, Hennessey roasted strawberries topped with a pepper berry meringue, sugarbag honey and goats cheese sorbet with a toasted macadamia bread.

The Festival Club Big Top transforms the usually serene Olive Pink Botanic Garden into the ‘place to be’ for your dose of side splitting comedy, eclectic live music and jaw dropping cabaret. Friday – Cat’s Meow Cabaret presents the Nine Lives Cabaret Club…Unfurl your inner feline and slink out for a night of daring and delicious entertainment for grown-ups. From raunch to paunch, deviants to diamantes, come join the crème de la crème of the Cat’s Meow Cabaret as they tease and trick their way out of the afterlife.

Welcome to the Alice Desert Festival website! Here you’ll find all the information on his year’s events and artists. The Festival will open on the 10th of August and the peak season starts on 7th September with the HUB weekend – a unique showcase of local and national music, dance and culture that attracts over 10,000 people. The peak Festival period will continue for ten days of ticketed and free events. The Festival continues until the Bushfoods Gala Dinner on the 10 October.

One of the key features on this new site is an easy to use online ticketing system. This easy and secure system will ensure you get the best seat in the house!
